The TL;DR

The threat landscape in 2026 doesn’t give anyone the luxury of complacency. Breaches are more frequent, more costly, and increasingly aimed at the one vulnerability no firewall can fix: people. Which makes it a little awkward that the training meant to protect those people is still, for most organizations, an annual video they click through to get back to their actual jobs.

At RSAC, that disconnect is hard to ignore. This year’s theme, Power of Community, is a reminder that security is a shared responsibility extending to every person in your organization. But legacy awareness training undermines that from the start, leaving employees unprepared, risks unaddressed, and organizations vulnerable to exactly the kinds of attacks that bypass traditional technical controls.

This year at RSAC 2026, we want to hear how you really feel.

Visit Fable Security at RSAC

Stop by the Fable Security booth in the South Hall (S-263).

Our theme this year is a delightful exchange: tell us what you hate about legacy awareness training, and we’ll retire it on the spot. In return, we’ll send you off with some Fable swag you’ll actually enjoy.

We’re running a short, anonymous survey asking one simple question:

How do you REALLY feel about security awareness training?

Some of the answers we’re hearing:

  • So generic—it gives me a rash
  • Doesn’t match our policy—so no one can trust it
  • A waste of time—I’d rather get a root canal
  • Only checks a box—and doesn’t change behavior

Want to participate now? It takes about 60 seconds, and we’ll publish the results after RSAC. Because if we want to build a stronger security culture, we need to be honest about what’s broken.

Take the survey.

This is the power of community in action — a shared conversation about what’s not working, so we can build something better together.

Join us for lunch on Tuesday

We’re hosting an invitation-only steak lunch at RSAC with Professor Victor Bennett — former White House economist — and Fable Security cofounder Dr. Sanny Liao, for an off-the-record discussion on how incentives shape human security risk.

Victor will lead a candid exchange among security leaders on how performance metrics, pressure, and cultural signals unintentionally drive risky behavior — and how to realign them so secure behavior becomes the default.
