Fable Security’s Teams app is now listed on the official Microsoft Teams marketplace. Previously, turning on briefing notifications and nudges in Teams meant granting Fable read/write access to your organization’s app catalog so we could sideload the integration manually. That’s no longer necessary. Customers can now install, brand, and manage the app themselves, with Microsoft’s review standing behind the listing.

What’s new

• Official Microsoft Teams marketplace listing — The Fable Security app is now available for direct download from the Teams marketplace, delivering briefing notifications and behavioral nudges inside Teams.
• No app catalog permissions required — Installing the app no longer requires granting Fable read/write access to your Teams app catalog to sideload a manifest on your behalf.
• Self-service branding — Admins can customize how the app appears in their environment without opening a request. 
• Teams Administrator permissions are enough — Installation previously required a Microsoft Global Administrator; a Teams Administrator can now complete the setup.
• Automatic activation once installed — Verify the app install from Fable’s integration drawer and briefings and nudges turn on automatically, with no separate handoff to your Fable team.

Why it matters

Every vendor a security team adds to Teams is another line in the vendor risk review, and sideloading required handing Fable elevated catalog permissions just to get briefings in front of employees. Fable delivers its human risk interventions in the flow of work, inside Slack and Teams, because delivery context is what determines whether an intervention actually changes behavior. An official marketplace listing keeps that in-flow delivery model intact while removing the permission grant that used to show up as a finding in procurement and security reviews.

This unlocks faster rollout for security and IT teams evaluating Fable for the first time. Admins can now brand and manage the integration themselves, which matters most for multi-tenant and MSSP customers who need per-org control without waiting on Fable’s engineering team.
